The Tanzania NCD Alliance (TANCDA) is a non-governmental organization founded in 2012 and registered in 2014 by the Ministry of foreign affairs and in 2019. TANCDA focuses on addressing the growing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Tanzania.
TANCDA’s experience in managing NCDs is based on its efforts to raise awareness of NCDs, promote prevention measures, and advocate for policies that support the effective management and control of NCDs in Tanzania.

TANCDA envisages a society prevented from and assisted against Non – Communicable Diseases
MISSION
To prevent the occurrence and improve the welfare of people with Non – Communicable Diseases
OBJECTIVES:
1) To prevent NCDs through information and educational activities
2) To support patients who suffer from NCDs and work for better prevention and treatment through health information and advocacy for quality care of people with NCD
3) To support capacity building for NCD services.
4) To create partnerships between this Alliance and other Associations with similar objectives, to improve the quality of NCDs prevention and treatment.
5) To work in partnership with, Government, Parliament, Private sector, International NGOs and Local community members and leaders to identify critical gaps in the prevention and treatment of NCDs and to provide logistical support to address these needs.
